Raina Tung

Raina Tung is a first year PhD student in Mechanical Engineering at Boston University working in Prof. Ryan’s lab where she uses computational modeling to look at electrodeposition in batteries as part of a broader interest in sustainability and energy storage materials. These research interests developed during her undergraduate studies at BU where she helped commission the Thermal Wave Sensor system used to characterize energy storage materials in Prof. Lubner’s lab, and where she prototyped bicycle-mounted air quality monitors with her Senior Design team. In her free time you can find her hanging out with her Australian Labradoodle, Moose, rock climbing (bouldering), lifting at FitRec, playing violin, or watching baseball.
