These services include design, PCB layout, programming, simulation, documentation, mechanical &amp; assembly, repairs, procurement, consultation, and training.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jump to: <a href=\"#rates\">EDF Rates<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Design<\/h3>\n<p><span>The EDF team solves technical problems which occur in research through the design of scientific equipment which meets the experimenter&#8217;s requirements.\u00a0 The EDF can provide assistance with:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instrument Design &amp; Construction<\/li>\n<li>Data Acquisition &amp; Analysis<\/li>\n<li>Signal &amp; Image Processing<\/li>\n<li>Experiment Control Systems<\/li>\n<li>Analog and RF Circuit Design<\/li>\n<li>Digital Circuit Design<\/li>\n<li>Embedded Systems<\/li>\n<li>Computer Interfacing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Consultation<\/h3>\n<p><span>The EDF offers consultation sessions for researchers seeking advice and recommendations on commercially available products, parts, vendors, literature, PCB manufacturing, assembly houses, and much more. A short consultation session \u2013 at any stage of the project \u2013 can translate into tremendous cost savings for customers. The EDF staff offers a holistic perspective on the design process through its diverse portfolio of experience and connections.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>PCB Layout<\/h3>\n<p>The EDF\u2019s printed circuit board services includes schematic capture, parts selection, a custom PCB library, and consultation.<span>\u00a0<\/span>The EDF can pick up your design at any stage and take it to completion.<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Printed Circuit Boards<\/li>\n<li>Multilayer Surface Mount Designs<\/li>\n<li>Flexi and Rigid-Flex Designs and Assembly<\/li>\n<li>High Speed Digital, Analog, and RF Circuits<\/li>\n<li>Documentation including Schematic, Assembly, and Fabrication Drawings<\/li>\n<li>Fabrication and Assembly<\/li>\n<li>Testing and Production<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 id=\"rates\">NOTE: New Rates effective as of 10\/1\/2024<\/h3>\n<p>Depending on the nature of the project, jobs may be either quoted at a fixed rate or billed per time and materials. This is decided on a case-by-case basis by the director in consultation with the prospective customer.<\/p>\n<p>New rates below per updated CAS policies. Also note that rates now go up regularly per new CAS policy on or about October 1st.
