We will ask you to visit our lab once a month from 2-6 mos. and again at 12 mos. (6 visits total). We strive to be flexible and will schedule visits around feeding\/nap times. During your visit, we will measure your baby\u2019s natural movements using child-friendly sensors that are worn on the hands and legs like bracelets. We will measure your baby\u2019s movements while he\/she lies on his\/her back. We will also measure your baby\u2019s brain activity while he\/she moves. We use an optical brain<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/demrlab\/files\/2022\/03\/AR-636x477.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"411\" height=\"308\" class=\" wp-image-205 alignright\" style=\"border: 3px solid #000080;\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/demrlab\/files\/2022\/03\/AR-636x477.jpg 636w, https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/demrlab\/files\/2022\/03\/AR-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/demrlab\/files\/2022\/03\/AR-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/demrlab\/files\/2022\/03\/AR-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/demrlab\/files\/2022\/03\/AR-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 411px) 100vw, 411px\" \/> imaging technique that measures light to map out areas of the brain that are active when your baby is moving. To do this, we place a cloth cap on your baby\u2019s head that contains special light measuring sensors. These sensors do not hurt or affect your baby\u2019s brain\u2014they only measure the amount of light absorbed in different brain areas. As a thank you for your participation, we will offer you a $25 gift card for each visit.
