Unlike macroscopic machines, these biomolecular systems can achieve remarkable efficiency in energy transduction and sensitivity\/robustness in signal transduction. It&#8217;s a fascinating subject to figure out the microscopic properties of these systems that dictate their unique functional characteristics.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/cui-group\/files\/2018\/02\/adk_oc-4.gif\" alt=\"adk_oc-4\" width=\"784\" height=\"608\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-63\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Currently, the specific systems we are interested in include biomolecular motors, pumps and sensory ion channels.
