While at Wayne State, I worked in the laboratory of Prof. Jeremy Kodanko synthesizing unnatural amino acids and light activated ruthenium complexes for drug delivery. I did my doctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison working under the direction of Prof. Clark Landis. My dissertation focused on the kinetic and mechanistic study of polymerization catalysts in collaboration with Dow Chemical. After completing my PhD in 2019, I moved to the University of Pennsylvania where I was a postdoctoral researcher in Prof. Karen Goldberg’s laboratory. I worked in the Center for Hybrid Approaches in Solar Energy to Liquid Fuels (CHASE, solarhub.unc.edu/) developing new catalysts to convert carbon dioxide to methanol via a cascade catalytic approach.

In July of 2022, I started at Boston University as an assistant professor in inorganic chemistry. My research focuses on organometallic catalysis, and leveraging the power of cooperative catalysis for sustainable chemical transformations. Specifically, I want to take waste products of society and convert them into useful chemicals and materials.

I earned my undergraduate degree at Wayne State University in 2012.
