Samer Bou Jawde is currently a Respiratory Care Data Scientist at Philips. Before that, he was a Post-Doctoral fellow in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. He earned his Mechanical Engineering Masters from the American University of Beirut in 2014 and PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2019 from Boston University. His research aim is to provide clinicians with more insight to select optimal mechanical ventilation settings. This is achieved using multi-scale modeling to link microscopic tissue properties to macroscopic lung mechanics.
