Béla Suki received his PhD from the University of Szeged (Hungary) in 1987 and currently is a professor of Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. He is an elected Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and the Biomedical Engineering Society. He also received a presidential award from the National Institutes of Health. His current research interests include respiratory physiology, tissue homeostasis, modeling nonlinear and network phenomena in physiology and biology as well as development of medical devices, one of which has been tested in a clinical trial.
