The lab uses mixed-methods and community-engaged approaches to explore what young people and their families want and need in their digital experiences and environments. They then work to translate their findings into industry reports and real-world recommendations.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/aside>\n<aside class=\"callout-square bg-lightpurple col-sm-full\"><div class=\"callout-content\"><h3 class=\"callout-title\">Story Technology and Audience Response (STAR)<\/h3><p>\nThe Story Technology and Audience Response (STAR) lab conducts research that examines the cognitive and affective mechanisms underlying audiences\u2019 use, engagement, and response to traditional and emerging narratives and entertainment.
