Laboratory Technician

  • Title Laboratory Technician
  • Education B.S. Molecular Biology, Lehigh University

I graduated from Lehigh in May of 2020 and went on to work at the Broad Institute’s SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic Lab and Northeastern University’s Life Science Testing Center for a little over a year. I worked with liquid handling automation and high throughput processing techniques for COVID-19 diagnostics for a little over a year until I decided to start a new venture.

I joined the Connor lab as a Lab Technician in August of 2021 in order to diversify my lab skillset and to transition from routine clinical work to the spontaneity of viral research endeavors. I came to the lab relatively inexperienced but with a good understanding of workflow efficiency. This landed me my primary project, sequencing SARS-CoV-2 samples from Boston University and BMC’s students.

While my primary focus remains assisting Ph.D candidate Jackie T. with sequencing endeavors, I like to think of myself as a helping hand to every project willing to take me along.
