As a Research Coordinator in the Women’s Health Unit, Ariel coordinates the daily operations for portfolio of research projects including IRB submissions, data collection, data analysis, and results sharing. As a 2017-2018 Fulbright-Nehru Researcher, she conducted an organizational ethnography of two non-governmental organizations’ community-based maternal healthcare programs in rural India.  Committed to person-centered health approaches, she previously served as a case manager for individuals experiencing homelessness and co-occurring substance use and/or mental illness, and worked at the Marjorie Kovler Center, a treatment center for survivors of political torture, supporting policy work and a creative writing & public speaking group for Center clients. Ariel received her M.A. in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago and her B.A. in Communication Studies, International Studies, and Global Health from Northwestern University.
