Allen Chang, PhD

Allen

Allen earned his PhD through the Brain Behavior and Cognition program here at Boston University. His interests lie in understanding the neural bases of learning in humans. He is particularly interested in how humans learn complex rules (in which behavior are conditional based on if-then dependencies) and simple rules (in which behaviors are linked regardless of condition). His research utilizes fMRI and statistical modeling to explore how activity in the brain shifts during rule learning and how individual differences in brain activity may help explain successful versus unsuccessful learning.

Allen is currently an Insight Data Science Fellow in New York City.
