A new study published in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/articles\/s41467-024-47197-5\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Nature Communications <\/a> developed population projections for different age groups and combined them with climate change scenarios for the coming decades.\u00a0 The study projects that by 2050 more than 23% of the world\u2019s population over age 69 will be living in places where peak temperatures exceed 99.5\u00b0F.
