The Reach Effectiveness Adoption Implementation Maintenance (RE-AIM) framework <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\">encourages program planners \u00a0to pay attention to the various elements of a program in order to sustain the\u00a0implementation of an effective intervention. RE-AIM begins by helping <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\">researchers define their target <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\">population. This framework then looks at how an intervention can impact a specific outcome. To translate research into action, the intervention must be adopted by those initiating it. From there, this model examines the fidelity of the implementation to the intervention\u2019s protocol. The last step<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> of the model is to maintain the intervention<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\">\u2019<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\">s <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\">impact<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, serif;\">. Recently, this framework has been used to integrate trial results into a routine trauma center practice. The goal of the \u201ctrauma survivors\u2019 outcomes and support (TSOS) effectiveness-implementation hybrid trial\u201d is to test the delivery of a screening and intervention for PTSD across 24 US level 1 trauma sites.
