This is an introductory course to learn the basics of qualitative interviewing in implementation science.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ideal for: I<span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">ndividuals planning to conduct qualitative interviews with minimal experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Time\/Format options: 1 hour session held over zoom<\/p>\n<h3>Cognitive Interviewing<\/h3>\n<p><em>Learn about Cognitive Interviewing and how it is used to test survey and interview items, elicit respondent understanding, and refine instruments to improve validity and clarity.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ideal for: Survey designers, instrument developers, and those preparing participant-facing materials.<\/p>\n<p>Time\/Format: 1 hour session held over zoom<\/p>\n<h3>Ethnography (Applied)<\/h3>\n<p><em>Practical training in participant observation, field notes, reflexivity, and translating ethnographic insights into actionable findings.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ideal for: Researchers and evaluators doing field-based qualitative work in clinical, community, or organizational settings.<\/p>\n<p>Time\/Format: 2 hour in-person session on the BUSM campus<\/p>\n<h3>Rapid Qualitative Analysis (RQA)<\/h3>\n<p><em>Learn streamlined approaches for rapid data collection and analysis (framework matrices, team-based rapid coding, synthesis for urgent decision-making).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ideal for: Implementation teams, program evaluators, and rapid-response research projects.<\/p>\n<p>Time\/Format: 1 hour session held over zoom<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-2 whitespace-pre-wrap\"><span style=\"color: #cc0000;\">Future Trainings (preview)<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3>Traditional Qualitative Analysis &amp; Coding<\/h3>\n<p><em>In-depth training on coding strategies, developing codebooks, thematic analysis, and ensuring analytic rigor.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Focus groups and group facilitation<\/h3>\n<p><em>Learn how to facilitate and manage group dynamics in focus groups.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Trainings are hosted by Kayla Jones and Kelli Finn.
