John Le

I am a second year MAMS student who recently joined Dr. Chitalia’s lab with an interest in renal. Currently, I focus on the pathogenesis of cardiovascular diseases in patients and conduct experiments to improve the imaging and biomarkers in subjects with kidney disease and COVID-19. One particular disease that I am intrigued by and have learned about is calciphylaxis, the accumulation of calcium in small blood vessels. I am excited to work on my thesis as part of Dr. Chitalia’s lab and I hope to gain a stronger understanding of pathologies in patients with chronic kidney disease and COVID-19
