Abigail (Abby) Beech, M.A. is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at Boston University, working under the mentorship of Dr. Donna Pincus.<\/p>\n
She graduated from Tufts University in 2020 with a BA in Biopsychology and Child Study and Human Development, and completed a Master\u2019s in Research in Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology through University College London and Yale University in 2022. At Yale, she completed her master\u2019s thesis examining cortisol and depressive symptoms in Dr. Jutta Joormann\u2019s lab, where she also assisted with studies using fMRI and daily diary methods to study youth depression. Prior to her graduate studies at Boston University, Abby was a lab coordinator at Tufts University in Dr. Xandra Kredlow’s lab, where she worked on several multimodal research projects examining biological and linguistic markers of depression and anxiety.<\/p>\n
As a PhD student, Abby\u2019s research focuses on parent and child factors related to youth anxiety and anxiety treatment efficacy.<\/p>\n
