The intensive treatment includes 5 to 7 days of 2-6 hour individual sessions. Such treatment consists of education about the nature of anxiety and fear, identifying and restructuring anxiety-provoking maladaptive thoughts, and reversing anxiety-driven avoidance, including exposures to anxiety-provoking situations that are objectively safe.
