These instruments are available to BU community after training and to non-BU community users on a fee-for-service basis. It has quartz overcoating, sealed optics, variable slits and large sample compartment. The software is Cary WinUV which features a modular design. A temperature range from 30C to 700C is available in a single measurement and it is suited for microgram or inhomogeneous samples.<\/div>\n<div style=\"border-style: solid; padding: 20px;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/cheminst\/files\/2021\/06\/Fluoro.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"314\" height=\"209\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-117\" \/><br \/>\nThe <strong>Horiba Jobin Yvon FluoroMax 3 Fluorimeter<\/strong> spectrofluorometer is a research grade bench-top system featuring 2500:1 water Raman signal to noise ratio and 200 nm\/sec fast scanning capability. Components include Xenon Arc Lamp, excitation and emission monochromator, emission and reference detector and sample compartment. UV-Vis and\/or fluorescence detectors are available for peak detection. Software is ChemStation. This unit allows AutoTune and automated continuously variable aperture adjustment. A horizontal attenuated total reflectance (HATR) accessory is also available. Controls are located on the touch screen. We have several configuration of sample cells available.
