MNova is compatible with both Mac and Windows OS. Follow the instructions below to download and install the software.<\/p>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<h2>Before You Begin: Connect to the BU Network<\/h2>\n<p>For the license file to work you must be connected to the BU Network, this can be via the wired network, the 802.1X wireless network (not the guest network), or remotely via the <a title=\"BU VPN\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bu.edu\/tech\/accounts\/remote\/vpn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BU VPN<\/a>. If Mnova stops working, or complains about the license, you will need to connect to the BU Network and restart the software.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"download\"><\/a>1. Download version 14.1.0 ONLY<\/h2>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Do not download any other versions)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Download\/install the application based on OS using the link below:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mestrelab.com\/download\/mnova\/\">MNova Installer<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Download the following NMR license file,\u00a0<a href=\"\/cheminst\/files\/__restricted\/entire-bu-community\/Boston-University_CampusULTD-2019_NMR.zip\">Boston-University_CampusULTD-2019_NMR<\/a>\u00a0(access is restricted to BU users).<\/p>\n<p>Unzip the file and save it to your desktop.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"apply\"><\/a>2. Apply the NMR Analysis License File<\/h2>\n<p>Next start MNova (this assumes you have installed it).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A registration window will pop up requesting the license file.\u00a0Click on <strong>Install<\/strong> and select the <strong>Boston University Campus NMR v1.8.lic<\/strong>\u00a0file you saved to your desktop to install the license. Note this new version of MNova has the plug ins for <strong>qNMR<\/strong> and <strong>reaction monitoring<\/strong>. The licenses for these plugins (included in the zip file you downloaded) need to be installed to activate these features as well.<\/li>\n<li><strong>You must restart Mnova now to activate these licenses and start using the software<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Note: <\/strong>If you get an error,<strong> &#8216;<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>Failed to connect to license server. Contact your system administrator..etc<\/em><\/span>&#8216;, <\/strong>send an email to\u00a0CAS IT help desk at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:cashelp@bu.edu\">cashelp@bu.edu<\/a>\u00a0and let them know your <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>IP address<\/strong>, and <\/span><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">which building<\/span>\u00a0(if you are using a LAN line) on campus<\/strong> you are connecting from. <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Do <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>not<\/strong><\/span> contact support@mestrelab.com<\/span>.<\/h4>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>MNova <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Mass Spec\/LCMS<\/span> Plugin<\/h2>\n<h2>About<\/h2>\n<p>The MNova Mass Spec Plugin allows users to analyze their LCMS and Mass Spectrometry data using the same application\/software that they use for NMR analysis.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong><\/span> If you have an <strong>older version of MNova<\/strong> you may need to update to <strong>version 14.1.0<\/strong> in order for the MS plugin to work. If you have never installed Mnova before follow the instructions above for <strong>steps 1<\/strong> and <strong>2<\/strong>\u00a0to install and activate the NMR analysis license and then continue to <strong>step 3<\/strong> below to install and activate the <strong>Mass Spec Plugin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To upgrade from an older version of MNova first you will need to uninstall the application or software from your computer. Then it is recommended that you <strong>delete the old MNova license(s) file(s)<\/strong> that you used to activate your older version of MNova. This will help save you from applying the wrong license files to your new MNova. Next follow <strong>step 3<\/strong> below to activate the <strong>MNova Mass Spec plugin license<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>3. Apply the Mass Spec Plugin License File<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Download the <strong>Mass Spec\/LCMS<\/strong> license file from here <a href=\"\/cheminst\/files\/__restricted\/entire-bu-community\/Boston-University-CampusULTD-2020-Mass-New.zip\">Boston-University-CampusULTD-2020-Mass-New<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Save and Unzip the file to your computer.<\/li>\n<li>Open MNova, click <strong>Help<\/strong> and in the pop up window click <strong>Install<\/strong>. Navigate to the folder you saved the file to and select the <strong>Boston_University_CampusULTD_2020_Mass.lic<\/strong> file and click open.<\/li>\n<li>Once applied successfully, you <strong>must retstart<\/strong> MNova before you can use the Mass analysis part of the software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Don&#8217;t know how to use Mnova?
