Tips from Grad Students (From Grad Student Panel): (10/26)

  • It is good to ask the PIs what projects are available for incoming students to work on as well because not every project shown on the websites will be available for people to work on.
  • Also, it’s good to ask the PI if there is collaborations going on in the lab. Some labs are organic chemistry labs but they collaborate with computationalists, immunologists, (etc.) if you’re interested in expanding your research work to other areas.
  • Your fellow Grad students are your best resource! Scientific and otherwise!
  • Therapy helps a lot! Get a therapist or someone to talk to to avoid burnout!
