{"id":316,"date":"2022-03-15T10:56:05","date_gmt":"2022-03-15T14:56:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/chagas\/?page_id=316"},"modified":"2022-03-24T10:41:39","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T14:41:39","slug":"our-projects","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/chagas\/our-projects\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our team is working on multiple projects, all aimed to increase knowledge and screening of Chagas disease among the community and healthcare providers.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/chagas\/about-insect\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>INSECT Study<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>As part of a 5-year cooperative agreement funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/parasites\/chagas\/index.html\">CDC<\/a><span>), the INSECT study aims to bolster Chagas knowledge in the medical community and roll out screening programs for high-risk populations. One particular population of interest is women of childbearing age.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.bu.edu\/chagas\/biorepository\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Biorepository<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our team is in the process of developing a biorepository using biological samples collected from patients with Chagas disease.
