Vi Nguyen is pursuing her master’s degree in Child Study and Human Development with a Clinical-Developmental Health and Psychology concentration at Tufts University. Her research interest broadly involves self-concepts and identity development and the effects of contextual factors on identity processes. Her master thesis is about exploring self-concept among Vietnamese children in Ho Chi Minh City through drawings. She is also currently working as a research assistant in a project about the utilization of the Electrical Health Record gender demographic fields and transgender and gender-diverse patient health equity at Brigham and Women’s hospital. Priorly, she assisted with qualitative analysis in projects about perceived discrimination and legal vulnerabilities in immigrant families. Besides research work, she provides academic support to diverse racial-ethic and neurodiverse children and acts as a liaison facilitating communication between Vietnamese American parents and their children’s teachers when needed
