Huy Hoang (he/him) is pursuing a MSc in Research Psychology at Seattle Pacific University. An international student from Viet Nam, Huy is passionate about advocating for underrepresented and marginalized groups in research and disseminating peer-reviewed, evidence-based best practices in parenting and mental health awareness to Asian communities. Huy currently is working on his thesis on how “tiger parenting” manifests differently across cultures. Aside from his pursuits in academia and research, Huy spends his time as a career advisor, counseling and providing guidance to help undergraduate students discern and pursue their calling. Huy graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor of Arts in Clinical-Counseling Psychology.
