Registration Guide: Italian Studies

Students majoring in Italian Studies will ordinarily, through coursework in the major, satisfy BU Hub requirements in Philosophical, Aesthetic and Historical Interpretation, as well as some requirements in Communication, Diversity, Civic Engagement, and Global Citizenship and the Intellectual Toolkit. Remaining BU Hub requirements will be satisfied by selecting from a wide range of available courses outside the major or, in some cases, cocurricular experiences.

A typical first semester Italian Studies schedule looks like:

  1. Linguistics or Literature course
  2. Italian language course
  3. Course of interest
  4. Writing course
  5. Optional add-on: First-Year Seminar
