Registration Guide: Italian & Linguistics

Students majoring in Italian & Linguistics will ordinarily, through coursework for the major, satisfy some of the BU Hub requirements in Scientific and Social Inquiry; Quantitative Reasoning; Diversity, Civic Engagement, and Global Citizenship; the Intellectual Toolkit; and possibly Communication. Remaining BU Hub requirements will be satisfied by selecting from a wide range of available courses outside the major or, in some cases, cocurricular experiences.

A typical first semester Italian & Linguistics schedule looks like:

  1. CAS LX 250 Introduction to Linguistics
  2. Italian language course
  3. Course of interest 
  4. Writing course
  5. Optional add-on: First-Year Seminar
