Registration Guide: Chinese Language & Literature

Students majoring in Chinese Language & Literature will ordinarily, through coursework in the major, satisfy BU Hub requirements in Philosophical, Aesthetic and Historical Interpretation, as well as some requirements in Communication, Diversity, Civic Engagement, and Global Citizenship and the Intellectual Toolkit. Remaining BU Hub requirements will be satisfied by selecting from a wide range of available courses outside the major or, in some cases, cocurricular experiences.

A typical first semester Chinese Language & Literature schedule looks like:

  1. Chinese literature course
  2. Major foundation course or Course of interest
  3. Chinese language course
  4. Writing course
  5. Optional add-on: First-Year Seminar
