Registration Guide: Architectural Studies

Students majoring in History of Art & Architecture will ordinarily, through coursework in the major, satisfy BU Hub requirements in Philosophical, Aesthetic and Historical Interpretation, Diversity, Civic Engagement and Global Citizenship, Communication, and the Intellectual Toolkit. Remaining BU Hub requirements will be satisfied by selecting from a wide range of available courses outside the major or, in some cases, cocurricular experiences.

A typical first semester Architectural Studies schedule looks like:

  1. CAS AH 111 Art History 1 or CAS AH 201 Understanding Architecture
  2. Language course or Course of interest
  3. Course of interest
  4. Writing course
  5. Optional add-on: First-Year Seminar
