The Institute of Education Sciences (IES)
The Institute of Education Sciences has provided funding opportunities to support research that contributes to school readiness and improved academic achievement for all students. The Massachusetts Institute for College and Career Readiness (MICCR) that developed through the collaboration of Boston University School of Education, MassInc’s Gateway Cities Innovation Institute (GCII), and the Rennie Center for Education Research & Policy has been established with a $1 million grant awarded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES).
The MICCR will be lead by lead by a team of personnel from Boston University School of Education, MassInc’s GCII, and the Rennie Center for Education Research and Policy.

The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth)
The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth) is composed of partners with expertise in disability, education, employment, and workforce development policy and practice. NCWD/Youth is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy and housed at the Institute for Educational Leadership in Washington, DC. NCWD/Youth assists state and local workforce development systems to better serve all youth, including youth with disabilities and disconnected youth.
BU Lab for Career and Workforce Development has been funded by and collaboratively worked with NCWD/Youth in many areas including Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs), state leader network and career and education planning in non K-12 settings.
