My book\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cornellpress.cornell.edu\/book\/9781501702495\/how-states-pay-for-wars\/#bookTabs=1\">How States Pay for Wars<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>(Ithaca, NY: Cornell University Press, 2016) won the 2017 American Political Science Association\u00a0<span>Robert L. Jervis and Paul W. Schroeder Best Book Award in International History and Politics<\/span>. My other works can be found in <em>Conflict Management and Peace Science<\/em>,\u00a0<em>European Journal of International Relations<\/em>, <em>Journal of Global Security Studies<\/em>, <em>Journal of Peace Research<\/em>, and <em>Security Studies,<\/em> as well as <em>Foreign Affairs<\/em>, <em>Texas National Security Review<\/em>, and <em>War on the Rocks<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I am currently a non-resident fellow at the Brute\u00a0<span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmcu.edu\/Academic-Programs\/Brute-Krulak-Center-for-Innovation-and-Creativity\/\">Krulak Center<\/a> for Innovation and Creativity at Marine Corps University.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>From 2021-2022, I was a Visiting Fellow at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clementscenter.org\">Clements Center for National Security<\/a> at University of Texas Austin.<\/p>\n<p>I am also affiliated with the <a href=\"https:\/\/watson.brown.edu\/costsofwar\/\">Costs of War Project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to my academic research, I am committed to promoting the study of political economy of national security. I am the founder and Co-Director of Boston University\u2019s Project for the Political Economy of Security.
