Research has shown that children living in urban areas with access to parks and recreational resources are less likely to become obese during their young lives than those without access to these outdoor resources.<\/span>1<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Join the MCAAP and a group of teens from\u00a0Hyde Square Task Force<\/a>, a local after-school community program,\u00a0for a morning in the\u00a0park!
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We will be clearing\u00a0<\/span>invasives<\/span>\u00a0in the<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

200-acres\u00a0<\/span>of woodlands in\u00a0Franklin\u00a0Park, a forest oasis in the heart of the city.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll also be picking up the winter litter to help prepare the\u00a0park\u00a0for local kids to use this spring.
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
