Scholar’s Night – Social Determinants of Health & Immigration Status
Ariel Porto, a BUSM M4 who matched into Pediatrics at Colorado Children’s, led an awesome workshop on social determinants of health and immigration status as a social determinant in the pediatric healthcare setting at our most recent Scholar’s Night on April 4th, 2018. The topic experts were Dr. Arvin Garg, Dr. Genevieve Preer, and Carmen Norona, LCSW. The event was held at the home of Drs. Arvin & Priya Garg, and attended by many BUSM students.
