Rodman Ride for Kids 2016! Pictures and More!

Team BUSM completed the Rodman Ride for Kids last Saturday, September 24th! The team of 15 medical students + 1 virtual rider raised over $11,000 in support of BMC Pediatrics and pediatric medical education with 8 students riding 50 miles and 7 students riding 25 miles.

Our team raised this money through several fundraisers. We hosted an event at Bell in Hand Tavern with free appetizers and Blunch donated proceeds from their Whim sandwich of the day three Thursdays in a row! Several other restaurants supported donation efforts, including Flour Bakery, Bon Me, Equator, Makin’ Jamaican, and J.P. Licks. Thank you to these local businesses for their support, and our peers and community for donating to the cause!

We’d also like to thank Dr. Bob Vinci for his overwhelming support and efforts to include us in the ride.
