For thousands of these patients, a <strong>blood stem cell transplant<\/strong> is their only hope. Unfortunately, 70% of patients in need of a transplant do not have a fully matched donor in their family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What is NMDP?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>NMDP is the global non-profit leader in cellular therapy<\/strong>, and we believe that each of us holds the key to<strong> curing blood cancers and diseases<\/strong>. We dedicate ourselves to increasing accessibility to blood stem cell transplants by <strong>expanding <\/strong>and<strong> diversifying <\/strong>the<strong> blood stem cell donor registry<\/strong> as well as fundraising to <strong>rid donors and patients of any financial barriers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Our Chapter<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BU NMDP brings our mission to Boston University&#8217;s campus. We recruit donors to the NMDP registry to increase the chances for patients with blood cancers and diseases and\u00a0<strong>all it takes is a swab<\/strong>!
