Lea accepted into BU ADRC Research Education Component Scholar Program

On August 10th, 2023, Lea was accepted into the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center’s Research Education Component (REC) Trainee Program to fund her research project titled, “Impact of racism on the hippocampal memory system and brain aging in older Black adults.” This program focuses on providing the next generation of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders with the essential tools and competencies needed to launch a successful career in basic, clinical, and translational science. REC scholars are awarded $10,000 for the school year to fund their research project.
