Welcome to the Bosmann Lab!

The Bosmann lab investigates lung injury, bacterial pneumonia, sepsis and colitis, including their connections to innate immunity, host-pathogen interactions, and inflammation. We employ transcriptome-wide (bulk RNA-Seq), proteomic (LC-MS), epigenomic (ATAC-seq) screening approaches for identifying novel differentially expressed genes, proteins and chromatin regions in experimental sepsis/ARDS and are experienced in generating new transgenic mouse models (e.g. Cre-lox, CRISPR/Cas9). In summary, our studies aim for a better understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of infection-associated inflammation, thereby helping to identify future avenues for therapeutic interventions.
