New Device to Track Bats

Bat Conservation International Magazine “Bats” Winter 2012 Edition features PhD, Nathan Fuller, “Tracking Bats on the Wing”. (pages 2-4) Two Boston University colleagues – Nathan Fuller, PhD candidate at BU and Kenn Sebesta, a visiting scholar in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at BU are developing a low-cost “unmanned aerial vehicle”, a deftly modified model airplane for tracking traveling bats. They have support from a BCI Student Research Scholarship.
