Project 4U (Fenway Pilot Award PI Batchelder)<\/span><\/b>
\nThis implementat<\/span>ion science project aims to adapt and pilot an evidence-based alcohol intervention\u00a0for sexual minority women and gender expansive people who report hazardous drinking at Fenway Community Health Center.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

MATTER Pilot RCT (NIDA K23; PI Batchelder): <\/span><\/b>Pilot RCT involving MSM with HIV and SUDs who were sub-optimally engaged in care. Completed baseline assessments on n=75 and randomized n=50, multiple follow up data points over 6 months.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CBT for Healthy Aging and Symptom Management among People with HIV (CHAMP; Internal MGH grant; PI Batchelder): <\/span><\/b>Leveraging a clinical group I developed to address an unmet needs among people aging with HIV, this pilot RCT tested the feasibility and acceptability of a healthy gaining group intervention as well as changes in inflammation biomarkers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Examining Sexual Minority Engagement in Recovery Community Centers (RCCs; NIAAA R24 Pilot; PI Batchelder). <\/span><\/b>This mixed methods study assessed facilitators and barriers to engagement in substance use treatment among sexual minority people who had used RCCs across the northeast.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Measurement of Negative Self-Conscious Emotion (MONSCE Study; Osher Pilot Grant; PI Batchelder): <\/span><\/b>Multi-modal measurement of shame compared to pride and frustration using machine learning to assess covariance of self-reported emotion, postural movement, facial expression, word selection, galvanic skin response, and heart rate. Designed to inform future interventions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

INSIGHT (Harvard CFAR Developmental Award): <\/span><\/b>Mixed methods assessment of internalized stigma, shame, and avoidance coping among HIV+ MSM who use drugs in Boston. Collected 33 qualitative interviews with MSM with HIV who use drugs who were sub-optimally engaged in care and self-report data from 202 MSM living with HIV who use drugs.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
