Program Director/Staff Psychology

We are currently seeking a Program Director and Staff Psychologist who will oversee various study operations including the organization of NIH funded multi-site clinical research projects, conduct clinical supervision on clinical trials in collaboration with Dr. Batchelder, serve as an interventionist on some trials, and support data management efforts. Data management will include data cleaning, data analytics, and supervision/capacity building of BHE team. This role would also be responsible for assisting with manuscript and grant preparation and submission. Additionally, the position will involve 10-30% clinical work through BMC. Further, this position will include a pathway to a faculty appointment (e.g. Instructor or Assistant Professor).

Additionally, this position will include a portion of clinical work. At first, this will involve training and serving as a study interventionist on two NIH-funded clinical trials (R01DA057298; PI Batchelder and R34DA053686; PI Batchelder), then subsequently will involve serving as a clinical supervisor on these trials as well as a staff psychologist at Boston Medical Center (BMC; 10-30% effort) post credentialling in one of BMC’s ambulatory care programs. 

This position will also include a potential for an academic appointment through the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level. This appointment will be pursued after onboarding has occurred. 

This position will take place in a hybrid setting and the Program Director will be expected to work in person up to 80% of the time (on average, 4 days a week). Ideal applicants will be comfortable working in both remote and in-person environments, including traveling to community-based partners (e.g., Fenway Health Community Health Center and community-based organizations in Boston). 

Required Education Level: Master’s degree (with licensed clinical capacity) 
Preferred Education Level: Clinical PhD, Counseling PhD, Social Work PhD (or comparable degree)
