About ASME
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers is a not-for-profit professional organization that harnesses the strength of its global community to develop solutions to real-world challenges. Since its founding in 1880, ASME has been advancing collaboration across all disciplines of engineering and career development for its network of more than 100,000 members.
Our Chapter
Our chapter here at Boston University has been an active organization for several years. We promote the model of the societal engineer under the mission of ASME and seek to provide students with the opportunity to explore the field of mechanical engineering while developing professional skills. This year, we are introducing many new, exclusive, and exciting events that include detailed presentations from company representatives, one-to-one recruiting events, and pre-career fair preparation. ASME@BU will focus on career mentorship and give you a great view of the world of jobs in the industry. In the past, we have brought to campus Boston Dynamics and MathWorks, hosted representatives from graduate programs at Georgia Tech and Johns Hopkins, and organized review lectures for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
