Training in use of the equipment for both locations is required for first-time users. CRC Mugar Library. Faculty Audio/Video Recording Studio Room 401a. Faculty and staff can use the room. Reservations can be made using the Mugar system as if the room is a book. After a training session, the room can then be reserved for up to 3 hours. MedCampus: Godley Digital Media Studio. The Medical Campus Education Media unit has its own reservation system for the studio. Clarification is needed as to use of this resource but likely it is limited to MedCampus faculty and staff. |

My husband used to work on accessibility for ebooks at Penguin books and his advice was that it’s not always about writing exactly what the picture is, but what it is in context to help the visually impaired person make sense of it as a whole. So for example – if you have a PDF with regulations and a picture of a stop sign, it’s less useful to tag it as ‘stop sign’ and instead put something like ‘sign indicating activities not to do’. That’s a pretty clunky example, but hopefully it makes sense!” |
