GBT_tRAMPS

The Radio Ammonia Mid-Plane Survey (RAMPS) is a large international project that aims to survey 24 degrees2 of the Galactic plane using the Green Bank Telescope (GBT) located in Green Bank, West Virginia. These observations survey the Galactic Plane in the northern hemisphere from  l = 10º to l = 40º  and  b = -0.4º to b = 0.4º. This provides the northern hemisphere observations of ammonia and water masers, which are complementary to the observations provided by the H2O southern Galactic Plane Survey (HOPS) using the Mopra single-dish telescope in Australia. The GBT, however, provides much higher angular resolution and collecting area than Mopra.

RAMPS has completed its pilot period and is now publicly providing the NH3(1,1), NH3(2,2), and H2O data from the pilot survey. We have provided details about the reduction and processing of this data in Hogge et al. 2018 and ask those who make use of the data to cite this paper.  We intend to make future RAMPS data publicly available after reduction and verification.
