Check out what we do:
The NRL was happy to host Prof. Carlos Cifuentes, Professor of Rehabilitation Engineering and Head of the Center for Biomechatronics at the Colombian School of Engineering Julio Garavito on September 11th.
This summer, the NRL welcomed Prof. Hongliu Yu of the Institute of Rehabilitative Engineering & Technology at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology in Shanghai, China.
01/2019 - Congratulations to our third-year DPT students, Catie Ledwick and Jeff Paskewitz, on their fantastic PT practicum presentations!
01/2019 - Don’t miss the opportunity to hear about how post-stroke gait can be characterized using walking speed and the Functional Gait Assessment from DPT student and Athletic Training alum from Sargent College, Jeff Paskewitz at #APTACSM! He'll be presenting the work he did with Lou Awad, PT, DPT, PhD and collaborators in the Research Section’s Saturday poster session from 1PM to 3PM.
01/2019 - Check out DPT student from Sargent College, Catie Ledwick and her presentation on how mentality and self-perception can affect physical ability and activity in patients post-stroke at #APTACSM! She will be presenting TODAY from 11AM to 1PM!
12/2018 - Here are some pictures from the NRL’s end of the year holiday party. From all of us at the NRL, we wish you a happy holidays and we can't wait to show you what we have in store for next year!
12/2018 - Dr. Steve Wolf gave a stimulating lecture at Harvard University on movement retraining in patients poststroke. Our lab was excited to host his visit to Sargent College, the Wyss Institute, and Spaulding Rehabilitation Network! Also, check out Dr. Wolf giving a tour of the Fenway Park suite at the Hotel Commonwealth here!
12/2018 - Congratulations to Eduardo Cedona, a senior studying bioengineering at Harvard University, on his successful senior thesis design review presentation in which he discusses his work developing wearable sensor system to measure poststroke gait parameters.
12/2018 - Congratulations to graduate student Anna Roto, MS, MPH who was recently awarded the predoctoral award from the American Heart Association!
12/2018 - This Spotlight of the Week goes to graduate researcher Ashlyn Aiello! Ashlyn is a Master's Student in Mechanical Engineering who also completed her undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering with a concentration in nanotechnology and a minor in mechanical engineering at the College of Engineering. In the lab, she is working on integrating functional electrical stimulation (FES) with soft exosuits to enhance the effect of rehabilitation robotics. Ashlyn used to play goalie on BU’s Division I Women's Ice Hockey team!
