Excursions

There will be optional outings into the city on Friday evening, to be arranged onsite at the conference registration table. Each opportunity is an experience unique to Boston, and will provide a fun, friendly atmosphere to connect with colleagues and friends.

Excursion option 1:

The Best of the Boston Pops

The Boston Pops is known as “America’s Orchestra,” renowned for its broad repertoire. The Best of the Boston Pops features the grandeur and romance of Bernstein, Copland and Rodgers, swinging favorites of Ellington and Gershwin, rock classics from bands like Queen, and the soaring film music of John Williams. It’s music for the ages that the whole family will treasure, led by the effervescent and hugely popular BSO Youth and Family Concerts conductor, Thomas Wilkins. 

 

Excursion option 2:

Boston Red Sox vs. Atlanta Braves

Excursion option 3:

Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

Please visit the MFA website for an updated list of exhibits. The museum is open until 10:00pm on Fridays.

 

 

 

 

Excursion option 4:

Boston Sunset Harbor Cruise

The Boston skyline is even more majestic when experienced at sunset. And there’s no better way to view it than our narrated Sunset Cruise.

 

 

 

While these excursions are not covered in NIME6 registration or housing fees, rates will be budget-conscious and comparable across all options. Excellent dining opportunities will be included in each excursion, but similarly, not be covered by NIME6 registration or housing fees.
