| Content | This poem recounts various popular stories about the Prophet Muhammad. These include stories about his birth, upbringing and conduct; his ascension into heaven and the prophets he encountered throughout the journey and their exchanges; and the bird and spider that protected him while he was in a cave. The poem asserts the importance of Muhammad, and his central place in God’s love for humanity. He asserts that no figure will ever be as important as the Prophet Muhammad, and discusses the singular place Muhammad plays in the lives of Muslims. |
