| Content | The documents were written between 2006 and 2009 in Dakar, Senegal. One specific letter was to inform the recipient of the wedding of his older sister. It tells the circumstances of the marriage and asks the recipient to accept it, since he did not approve of his sister’s new husband. On the whole, the Jokkere Enɗaŋ 3 documents show the transnational dimension of Ajami and its ongoing practical use in Fuuta Jalon Fula communities in West Africa. |
