This program is intended for graduate students and is designed to:

Provide students with an opportunity to… gain hands-on professional experience in local public health departments.
Enable local public health departments to… host graduate student interns and gain assistance with pressing projects.
Promote local public health to students… and cultivate an interest in the field early-on in their academic and professional careers.

Local Health Internship Program

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), Division of Epidemiology and Immunization is pleased to announce the 2019 MDPH Local Health Internship Program.

For over a decade, this program has annually placed public health student interns in local, regional, and state health departments in Massachusetts. Currently, the Division of Epidemiology and Immunization is seeking up to 45 graduate students to intern in local health departments during the summer of 2019.

 

Applications are due via email by Friday, March 15, 2019.
