We are very excited to announce the launch of the next phase of our research study, the LIBRE Project Pilot Study!

The Pilot Study will test the questions included in the LIBRE Profile. The LIBRE Profile is the questionnaire that we’re creating to measure the social impact of a burn injury. We are looking for  300 burn survivors to test the LIBRE Profile by completing two surveys at two different time points.

Even if you have participated in past LIBRE Project phases you may still be eligible to participate.

For their time, participants will receive a $25 Visa gift card after the completion of Survey 1, and an additional $25 Visa gift card after completion of Survey 2.
You can participate if you are:

  1. A burn survivor
  2. Have a total burn surface area (TBSA) of 5% or greater, or a burn to critical area
  3. 18 years or older
  4. Have an email address and access to the internet
  5. Able to communicate in English

If you are interested in participating, or have any questions feel free to contact the LIBRE Project at 1-844-255-9987 or libre@bu.edu.

Past Projects

From October 2014 through December 2015, we recruited burn survivors to test the questions that will be included in the LIBRE-CAT. The questionnaire will be used to assess the social recovery of burn survivors. Participants completed a survey on-line and over the phone. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
