  • Title Associate Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering & Associate Director of external partnerships, Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, Princeton University

Dr. Zondlo will make high-resolution measurements of PM2.5 in a mobile laboratory in the NYC metropolitan area (Aim 1) to compare to satellite measurements (Tao et al., 2015). The measurements (10 days total, focusing more on cold season) will occur within two hours either side of the overpass time on a clear day and will focus on detailed sampling within ~ 10×10 km areas where low-cost sensors are deployed. The locations will be chosen to match areas of strong spatial gradients from the satellite data.
