Students

Students in the Master of Liberal Arts in Gastronomy and Graduate Certificate in Food Studies programs come from all walks of life, and are bonded by their love and appreciation of food and the role it plays in society and culture. Dining professionals, foodies, vendors, and culinary academics alike have a home in this BU program, which plays an active role both within the University and throughout the local community.

Those who wish to coordinate with students enrolled in the Master of Liberal Arts in Gastronomy and Graduate Certificate in Food Studies programs are encouraged to connect with the Gastronomy Student Association (GSA), which fosters a continuous dialogue about what food can mean by extending the academic experience beyond the classroom and creating a sense of community.

To look back on past classes, we invite those interested to visit our Cohorts page, where they can learn about current and former Gastronomy students, and how they have put lessons learned in the program to use in the field, via profiles and testimonials.
