Tracy Battaglia MD MPH, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology, is a practicing Clinician-Investigator in the Women’s Health Unit at Boston University. Dr. Battaglia is board certified in both General Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine. She serves as the Director of the AVON Breast Health Initiative at Boston Medical Center, Director of the Women’s Health Unit of the Section of General Internal Medicine at BMC, Director of Medical Education at the Belkin Breast Health Center of BMC, Director of the Community Engagement Core of BU CTSI, and Chair of the BMC Cancer Quality and Registry Oversight Committee. She is the recipient of numerous awards from both the National Institutes of Health and different foundations, including the American Cancer Society, in recognition of her commitment to cancer prevention and control. She has over 10 years experience designing, implementing and evaluating community-based programs to reduce delays in cancer care across the continuum of cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Her research focuses on community-based approaches to reducing health disparities among underserved women.
